jsut picked them up in the steam deal got the complete mod for S.O.C

just curious what mods are good for Call Of Pripyat don't think a complete mod is available for it yet.

BTW this will be my first time playing the stalker series so gonna start with S.O.C then do C.O.P So any mods that work well and make it look better play better will be a bonus....

Well ive just played through CoP again in last few days with the following mods on

atmosfear v1.3
atmosfear v1.3 high res texture pack
absolute nature v1.1
absolute structues v1.0
Weapon mod by Reptile4077
More campfire music v1.0 by by domovoi

downloaded them from filefront

looked and played superbly on max settings and really liked the absolute nature mod as i started with spring then half way through changed to summer and for the final 3rd at pripyat changed to autumn basically it alters the trees and foilage and sunlight for each season

The mods does make the game look stellar, but sadly it didn't change the ridiculous dialogue. Full of spelling errors, Americanisms and bad language. For me it takes away from the immersion.

Irony ***!

But the complete mod does rewrite the dialogue.

How many mods can i run at once? I'm downloading the atmosfear 2.1 at the mo, also what are the best mods that affect the gameplay instead of the gfx.

Really? It adds to it if anything.

I'm dying to play these, have all the mods downloaded and ready to go, but Steam is failing me miserably. SoC hangs on install splashscreen and CoP gets a "failed to reach key server" error from steam. And I just got my 5850 today too :(

no idea how many you can run tbh, didnt realise was a newer atmosfear but 1.3 was nice anyway.
Gameplay was fine to me but the weapons mod i used stopped the muddy default aiming without being too easy which is what i wanted to be honest,so have no idea what gameplay mods are best.

Cheers, i've just gone to install the atmosfear 2.1 mod but need a prog to open it but it keeps directing me to filecure.com but i need to buy it for it to work, what othe prog's can i use to open the file?

Cheers, only problem now is the mod wont install properly(i've followed the instruction) cba now, i might give it ago tomorrow.

I've played through the first one a few times. Used a mod which added blowouts and loads of crazy random stuff. Remember starting the game over and over and each time something different would happen. First time a blowout occured, I hid in a basement and when it was over zombies were everywhere. Next time a military patrol swarmed the start area and killed everyone. Both of these things were within the first 5-10 minutes. Great fun but bollocksed-up the game a bit.

So what 'huge' and 'game-changing' mods are there to choose from now. The original game was a bit lacking. I'm looking for a living, open world, more realism and general randomness.
