just playing rfactor/fallout 3 on Dirt 2 ,but looking towards f1 2010 and rfactor 2

thanks

depends how much money you're going to lose on it tbh..
I upgraded from 9800GX2 to HD4870 and made a massive difference in performance.
Seeing as GTX460 is around par with HD 4870, I'd say It's worth it if it doesn't cost you more than £60.

If it match your budget then sure, but we can't decide for you you would have to decide for yourself. Here's some comparison for your reference:

Do bare in mind those GTX460 1GB results are at stock speed 675MHz. Almost all GTX460 are guarantee to overclock to at least 800MHz.

Actually GTX460 1GB is equal/slighty faster than even the 4890:

I'm looking at this upgrade as well, seems to offer quite a leap in fps, almost double in some of the reviews I've seen. It trades blows with the 5850, especially when overclocked, so looks pretty good for the money and a decent upgrade from a 4850. It beats the 4870 hands down anyway.

It is worth it only if your current setup is struggling.

If yuo current games are perfectly playable with the settings/resolution you want all you will see if an increased number on the FPS counter rather than any real noticable change.

The GTX460 1GB is a lot faster than a HD4850 (its more in line with a GTX285).

jeez i just asked the exact same question ... i must be blind.. i dont think ill be bothering now ty.
