Plugged into the Matrix
As has been reported some months ago, Windows 8 has reached at least Milestone 1 in its development phase. We have also been able to peek at what Microsoft plans to work it's marketing machine for the upcoming OS for home, office, mobile and server. Earlier this weak, a source that is working on the Win8 project has given us another worm on a hook to bait us into enticement and to fuel our curiosities once again. Bait taken!

The source, who shall remain nameless without their asking, feed us a tasty treat about one of the steps that Redmond giant is gearing up for in their progress to the first alpha stages of Windows 8. Microsoft has set their eyes on things that have been stated as "problem's we will not fix until Windows 8". Already the list is being assembled of these problems that M$ is willing to recognize as problems.

No doubt, some of those problems will include the security of the OS and also the general internet insecurities that the global world faces everywhere, on any platform. With the given rise in a hostile internet environment, and the first half of 2010 being the most active attack history of the internet ever, bullet-proofing the OS seems like it would be a very strong point of focus in this assembled list.

If I could add to that list, I would add just one or two small to M$ but huge to me problems... 1: Removing the "music" "view" that win7 forces in a new folder that contains music files. When I tell my system to make "documents" and apply to all folders and sub-folders on the system.... It should always be that way default once applied, to any new folder with music. I rather dislike having to constantly "customize this folder" from music to documents. So much time is wasted doing this, plus the music folder view only provides me with 1 of the 4 items I look for in my view, and that one thing is the file names. The file type is not listed - which I want to know, file size - which I want to know, and date modified - which, again, I want to know. 2: Not discussed at this time. lol.

How soon until we get win8 to alpha stage? According to the source, "we are in the stages of listing problems M$ said they wouldnt fix till WIN8". Enticing news. The source also went on to say "...the FIRST ALPHA BUILDS, idk how long it will take but we are on the way!!!!!!!"

:)

There is no actual info in that quote, which is poorly worded and poorly spelt - I could come up with the same "info" without talking to anyone from redmond.
