OcUk returned my card as not faulty.. (2)

ive a similar asus mobo, same cpu and vertually the same ram, i just checked my bios and my qpi/dram core voltage is 1.35 with a 3.6 OC. i suggest you take note of the above posts!
your close to getting the facepalm pic for this! :p

Daaamn!

I set everything to X.M.P and it auto changed it to 1.65 itself.. I left it as it mentioned DRAM I assumed it was the memory voltage. :(

It doesn't like 1.2. It says overclock failed. Run setup.

Got it at 1.3 and it boots. Havent tried the graphics card yet though.. Will try 2moro just got in from work cba just now.

Will post back 2moro and let u know how i get on..

EDIT: 5 degree drop in temps anyhow.. *embarresed*

Indeed... I cant be bothered doing it now Im shattered just got in from work having a few cans.. Thing is ive had it on 1.65QPI on my current 7900GT and its been working fine.. Just the 5970 I get no display..

???

i had a ton of issues with my 5970 when the remnants of nvidia drivers were still on my hard drive, in the end i had to reinstall windows and then everything ran perfectly

Even at POST? Windows does actually load. I just dont get a display, even at post.. I have to press the power button so windows does a proper shutdown, then try again, up to 5 times.. ?!?

Work again 2mrw so will prob test it 2mrw afternoon

That makes no sense considering you can have both nvidia and ati cards in the same system with both sets of drivers loaded without problems.
