Basically I want to swap my 750i board for a P35 board to get me a better overclock out of my Q6600. How much will the PCI-E 1.1 slots on a P35 board affect the performance of my GTX460?

Id say the performance hit would be pretty small, but if buying an s775 mobo, id suggest looking for a second hand p45, asus p5q series are extremely good, and can be had at a decent price now, theyre pcie 2.0 as well and fantastic clocking boards with quads.

P5Q Deluxe without a shadow of a doubt, had one a while back, best board ive ever owned, 3.8ghz from a q6600, same from a q9550, both clocks with relative ease. Only sold it off to fund my current i7 rig, kinda regret it now as that board and the q9550 would have went a lot higher.

The Asus PQ5 Deluxe is a great board. The P43 chipset is poor for overclocking.

The P45 will probably be the one i get but i previously i had a P5Q-L board with a Q6600 and it was a pretty good board for clocking wish id not flogged it :p
