is it Possible for 3 GTX 470 in tri SLI and a GTX 460 as a PhysX card?

I say go i7 980x (if necessary :p) and a 5970, then a 2nd if need be, 1 gtx 480/5970 is more than enough for 99% of games so just go with whats cheapest, coolest, least power consuming which is 5970

i am areadly there the 980x a definant @ 4ghz with the cosair A70 with the cosair GT RAM 2000MHz

i get £1200 a month, and dont you dare say wasting money, i have worked my ass off for months i am a comptia A+ certified, i got my microsoft MCSA AND MCSE, i worked hard to get those qualifications, plus i give

£500 to my dad a month to help out with the bills

and i get to keep the rest and i work 30+ a week and my work place is 1 hour away on a bus so dont you say it is a waste of money in my opinion i deserve it:D

When did you get your MCSA and MCSE? I don't recall those from your previous threads. Congratulations on the additional qualifications, very well done for a 17 year old.

Have you setup the system with 2*470 yet, or pondering the future possibilities once you have it up and running? If it is still at the purchase stage then i would suggest you get it built and totally forget about a third card, tbh I'd forget about a second card until you have it build with 1, and then add as required, rather than burn the lot initially. With the adding method you can plot your realworld improvement with each card you add and you'll see when to stop.

Advice taken in =), i got my qualifcation with a apprentiship with Zenos!!

i got a lot of qualifications so i will work for one year full time and then go in the IT business, anyways so just one GTX 480 should be fine??

i would game on 1920 by 1200 so you think ONE GTX 480 for now and 1 month later get another one?

why not the 5970 - it is better than the 480 and the card does not run that hot compared to the GTX 480?

one will be fine tbh, same res i game at on my 480, and i've never struggled on any game i've played.

u'll never need to run 3 at that kind of res.
just stick to 1, then get a 2nd later on

toxic teabag on these forums has 3x gtx480 in sli on stock coolers running 100% (seti) with overclocks and there fine

Buy one 470 for now and learn to drive with the other £440. The amount of time this will shave off your travelling each week can then be spent gaming rather than sat on a smelly bus.

For video editing grab 2x470s or 2x480s they will be fine for games and video editing, best also to get nvidia as your doing video editing and nowadays everything uses cuda... cant wait for the images or videos of your build.. good luck.
