After the wheel arch body-kit was was stollen from 1 wheel of my previous car I was advised by the police to install a security camera.
I accidentally left it running during the day & it caught 2 children who live up the road throwing stones at local houses.
I know they were throwing stones because I saw one land by my front window.
If my house window or car window was hit & cracked, what are my options, as their parents have been approached by neighbours before who responded with denial & abuse.

EDIT:
Sorry I had to delete the video as recording CCTV covering your garden & unintentionally the street as well which shows kids throwing stones at your windows may get me into trouble. What a great system, it dont work when it should (social worker neglect) & works against the innocent who ask for help.

Neighbours have also witness these kids doing the following:

* Running across the road without looking.
Much traffic often use the road as a shortcut & exceed the 30mph limit, also buses traverse the pavement frequently.

* Jumping out in front of cars as they drive past & perform aggressive gestures.

* Throwing stones at cars as they drive past.

* Entering residents front / rear gardens at whim.

* Play in a residents driveway, then when the resident tried to reverse their car out the garage the children responded with aggressive abuse.

* Kicking a football across the road without regard for the ball hitting parked or moving cars.

* Deliberately Kicking a football at residents front windows whilst they are out.

* Deliberately throwing stones at residents font / back windows whilst they are out.

* Breaking into a rear garden shed.

* Placing glass bottles in the road & watching as cars drove past as they smashed.

* Pinching flowers from a front garden.
The owner of the property they told them to stop, later that evening the residents rear car window was smashed.

What can you do about this sort of behavior as no one can tell the kids to stop doing anything bad through fear of retribution & the parents are very aggressive & just swear all the time.

In this country, little twits like that would either be told off and if they continued, their parents would be lynch mobbed by the neighbourhood, but Ive never heard of stuff like that happening here.

Isnt there a community police officer you can talk to?

Gather enough evidence and report it to the police?

Bet the parents can't deny their kids are misbehaving little ****s when they get some HD footage of them breaking windows etc. :p

Am I ok to post or even record this video with it containing kids?
The video of the anti social behavior was recorded accidentally as a result of the only angle I could get for CCTV security on my car as advised by the police.
Though they can be seen throwing a stone at my house/car & are totally blurred from identification.

send evidence to police and council? Could also organise a petition signed by members of the community attesting to said miscreants behaviour present to police/council mebbe theyd get ASBOS?

btw good quality camera that - cost much? :)

Hi got to say over here as well the locals would have none of that.

And the police will not take any rubbish off kids/teenagers.

As said above the community police officer would be the best option

Superglue a £1 coin in the middle of the road in the hope they get run over.

A work friend of mine had problems with youths kicking down his garden front wall repeatedly. He recorded them on CCTV called the police and all the police did was take the tape away from him because the kids looked under 16.

The parents live a few doors away. I feel sorry for the direct neighbours.
I think the house has been privatly bought or its rented.
The camera is a USB Logitec orbit sphere which has onboard movement & records 960x720 @ 15fps.
I was concerned if any damage was done as to who I could send the bill.

So have you or anyone else spoken to the parents, asking them why their children are allowed to damage other peoples property?

That is a great quality video.

Would also love to know what make/model it is - as the kids around here are much the same.

And i doubt speaking to the parents would have much effect...... they are probably sitting in the pub, or watching out of the front window laughing. Just send them a letter explaining you have video evidence of their children doing the crimes (but do not disclose your name/address) & you will be approaching the police the next time it happens if it doesn't stop.

Just remember - if you do show the police the video - ask them to not state where they got it from, and do not allow them to use it - as it is easy to work out where the camera is mounted, and you will get years of abuse if the police use it as evidence and plays it to them - or they show their parents the clips.

What I love about Eastern Europe. Was in a bar in Pardubice (spelling?) in Czech when two young guys started shouting some football slogans outside. Police car drove by, window opened and I think the Old Bill asked them to be quiet as he motioned to the residential houses. The guy said something back to the police in a calm manner but a non-caring way, the Old Bill flew out, knocked one guy down and had the other up against a wall by the throat. They were sent on their way, quiet as sheep.

I'm betting the best he would get from them would be a bunch of neanderthal grunting with the odd swear word thrown in.
