Following on from the decluttering your life thread i thought about all the ways i seem clutter up my life, take yesterday for example i was browsing the Bay for a 2.5" HDD drive when i came across this Samsung 1Gb IDE SSD-HDD Module (Although the picture seem to be of a 4Gb version?) and couldn't help but have a little bid and well i ended up winning. Thing is i have no idea how i'm going to use it, lol.

So does anyone do this or find other ways of cluttering up your life?

Off to read the decluttering your life thread for tips :-)

I’m not in the habit of buying useless things, especially ones where I have no idea about how they work. So no, I don’t buy clutter.

I don't buy lots of things, it's just when I buy stuff I usually keep all the boxes, that takes up the most room for me.

I am very impulsive and obsessive.
This week for example I decided I really needed a steering wheel, it all started with reading a thread on the OcUK about i-racing, got one months membership for $5. Then came the wheel hunt. Got myself a DFGT, I had one before last year and sold it on. lol. This time I peed about with it for a day, it is now in the cupboard.
That is just one example from last week.
I won't go into this weeks dedicated physx card hunt and all it entailed.
Wow, is this a confession box. :D

I, also, buy clutter on a whim.
I have bought everything from a Robosapien RS Media (used a couple of times) to a paintballing mask (not used yet) and things inbetween like:

false moustache and glasses
cheap and nasty watches (sub £10 from Hong Kong)
fake lottery scratch cards
X-Fi card (still not fitted)
electric shock roulette (funny till your know the shock won't hurt you really)
slammer drinking game machine
45cc chainsaw (never once used it before it was stolen)
foaming sugar cubes (unused)
skinhead bald wig
toilet seat banger (unused)
fake dog turd
30mW LED green laser pen
2 adult retro space hoppers (unused)
fake parking tickets
RC mosquito helicopter
RC fart whoopie machine (barely used)
World Time TV DVD VCR Remote Control LCD Digital Watch
Superman # 1 - 5 x 7 - Iron On Transfer

etc
etc... the list goes on
(taken from my FleaBay feedback list)

Each and every one of these was bought from FleaBay on a whim and most have not been used. :o

Clutter?
Yep I know clutter.

I recently bought a pair of yellow tinted '40s style RAF goggles. Of course I have no use for them, they just sit on my desk (and occasionally my forehead) looking awesome.

Oh, and I've been collecting clockwork skeleton watches. They all have exactly the same internal mechanism so I don't know why I keep on buying them.

I detest hoarding junk in the house "just in case". If I dont use it it gets sold, given to charity or binned. The wife still hasn't got her head around it but she is getting there. We sorted a load of stuff out of the box room last week and she only wanted to put one box worth in the loft. Given the choice she'd have kept it all like her family do. Does my nut in.
