OK, hey all, so i was just thinking, ive been subscribed to the weekly newsletter for ages now and i feel its very usefull, however it doesnt inform me of a specific products status, kinder wish the forums had the ability to start a poll to be honest =/ anyway who agrees with me that Overclockers needs a box next to all of their items where u can type in your e-mail so that you can be e-mail'd when the product your keeping an eye on changes, ie- price; increase/ decrease, availability; instock / out of stock do you think this would be a good idea or not? :confused: LET ME HEAR YOUR RESPONSE ty :):p

I think he's suggesting an option to be sent an email notification with an out of stock product becomes available.

Well when asking for a feature, if people have absolutely no idea what he is attempting to convey, and are met with a wall of text the responses will tend to be somewhat brief, and perhaps unhelpful.

He 'kinder' wishes the forums had a poll option.
I'd suggest a DON converts this thread to a poll.

His request is actually nothing to do with a forum improvement. He is asking if you would agree that each and every single item on the whole of the sales list has an email subscription linked to it, so it automatically generates an email to eb sent to you when the item changes in stock/price/etc.

Personally I think the amount of gubbins generated would be incredibly large. I would disagree.

A simple 'email me when back in stock' button might be a simpler solution.

Surprised OCUK dont have this already tbh.

Though i do think an "email me when price drops or sale on" of the tagged product, is a good idea. For both prospective buyer and retailer. If you dont have anything which ties that prospective buyer to your store then they will just shop elsewhere for it.
 
A lot of people need reading skills too ;)

It's a good idea, but I think it would cause too much spam. Instead, they could just enable such a feature for something that is out of stock, then when it comes back into stock, you'd get an e-mail (a competitor has a similar feature).
