Hey guys

I'm wondering firstly what's the best phone out of the Samsung Wave or the Nokia X6?

I can get either on a 24 month contract for £18.75 a month 500 mins, unlimited texts and internet.

Can get the X6 handset for free the Wave for £35.

Secondly, are there any better deals than that? I don't want to play more than £20 a month!

Thanks guys!

Mobiles.co.uk have the Samsung Galaxy S and the HTC Desire for less than £20pm (both of which are better than the phones you mention), as long as you're prepared to use a rebate scheme and preapred to use the Orange network.

What Robbie said, that really is the way forward when buying a phone. Bargain.

The X6 and the Wave are both very poor in comparison to the Galaxy S and Desire.

You will only get 'unlimited' internet on T-Mobile (which is 3GB).

Look to the right hand side of that Desire deal - 15 months 1/2 price

That is why it equates to less than £20 overall.

Hmm how much is 500MB of data? Is there a way to track how much date you've used so you don't go over the limit?

WHAT! Just checked the prices 20p a min to a land line???

Might be worth having a look at the New Samsung Galaxy apollo i5801. It is on exclusive with Orange at the moment. Ihad a play with one in Orange shop today, it was very slick and smooth for an Android 2.1 phone, £149 on payg, I think £15-20 per month on contract. Capacitive screen, 400x240 pixel screen, 802.11N wifi, FMradio, HSDPA and feels well made. I can see Orange shifting a load of these.

500MB is plenty unless you are streaming things like Spotify and so on.

For general use, its plenty.

That's because its bad :p

Well, its alright for an entry level phone. You shouldn't compare it with the Galaxy S and Desire.

I'm sure you're aware, but just in case...

Did you know that you won't have to use any of your internet usage at home, as you can go through your router / domestic internet connection?

Nope. So I can join 2 different networks :) ?

It'll work out at around £20 per month with the 15 months half price line rental.

300 mins divided by 60 is 5 hours of outgoing call time.

Pretty sure I don't make 5 hours of outgoing calls a month.

There are 'good' phones in that bracket, yes, but you are aware they will be about half as good as the Desire/Galaxy S?

What would you say is better? The desire is £25 per month but half price for 15 months whereas the Samsung is £25 per month but 6 months free.

Samsung = 25 x 6 = £150 saved

Desire = 12.50 x 15 = £187 saved

Are any of the other HTC phones any good?

Well, the HTC Hero is alright, which you can get for £35 per month with an Xbox.

Again though, its not comparable to the Desire/Galaxy S.

Between the Galaxy S and Desire, they are similar, the Desire has better software, a camera flash and better build quality. The Galaxy S is better at everything else.

Cool I'm going to go for the HTC I think as it's cheaper! I've already gone over my budget.

Going to order now! Thanks guys.
