Just ordered my free bumper thru the appstore and it says it ships in 1-3 weeks. Just wondered if anyone has order one recently and if so how long did it take to ship? Might have to get a temp one of ebay :)

Mine took about 2 weeks to ship and be delivered...got my iphone4 on 3rd of august..ordered the bumper the same day i got the phone....got my bumper on sat.

Mine took about 10 days...

Stopped using it now tho cuz although I thought it was well made / looked half decent, it wouldn't fit in the official dock, inhibited being able to connect my car stereo and none-apple 2.5" jacks...

for people who will just plug it straight into the official cable and headphones, I think its a really nice addition :)

I ordered my free bumper and got it about three weeks later...

I don't like it :( I prefer the look of it when it's off - but I like being able to hold it normally better :p

Apple better sort this problem out in the next version of the hardware - I can only take so much abuse from my friends taunting me for having a phone where I can't even hold it properly :p

I got mine ages ago.

Ordered the Friday and turned up on the Monday. So a very quick turnaround for me.

I love the bumper! I always hated any case on the previous iPhones and it was always naked but this bumper is perfect and I leave it on.

Ordered mine on the 26th June and it arrived on Saturday. Tbh, I was happy enough with the phone in it's naked form, but the bumper looks decent enough and it does protect it, especially when lying it on a desk.

No problems here using none apple headphones either (seinheiser cx-300).

Mine will be staying on for now.

Oh yeah and you just reminded me - The apple headphones seem fine - however, when I try to connect the cable from my drum set to my iPhone so that I can play music from it - it won't fit :( I have to take the case off everytime I play the drums :p

I feel the same too. The iPhone with bumper reminds me of a Nokia 5800 :( With the bumper on it does not look that nice but it is nicer to hold.

Even with the bumper I somehow managed to not get any signal when my mate on a 3G iPhone could get 3G signal. I'm on Tesco and she was on O2. :o

Hehe, I found this out a few days back (was actually the final straw for me to take off the bumper) - Was trying to plug it into my Roland V-Drums :)

Ordered a bumper within the first hour from the app being released.

Received an email a few days later saying my bumper had been dispatched and would arrived on the 2nd August. It didn't arrive, spoke to Apple a week or two later they said it was lost in post and would send another one out and that I would get an email confirming this.

I've had no email yet. Bit crap.

That happened with the 3G/3GS too. Suppose the problem is trapped debris that cannot escape once inside the case.

Lesson: clean it out once in a while / don't visit a quarry.

Mine started to do it. Nowhere near as bad as that though. I just use eBay silicone bumpers, they're bulkier but they've actually managed to manufacture them in different colours, and supply enough to meet demand, neither of which Apple seem to have managed. I used to clean the Apple one out regularly, problem in my eyes was that the inside of it isn't soft, it's hard plastic.

I've got four :D
