This card is extremely rare and OcUK currently has a large stock inventry of these available. :)

aren't most 460 owners running their clocks at 800 anyway?

Yep, if your willing to do it yourself the MSI and Gigabyte options are best. :)

But some people preferre it done out of the box and Gainward are offering a very fast card, that is now easily available plus the Gainward card has quite a nice cooler on it. :)

So Gibbo takes the time to inform people of a new product and the above are the replies? I'd start to wonder "why should I bother?", picky crowd :(.

lol good catch !

A very rare card but hey we have stocks full and it's not the fastest either :D

Rare as in I believe this card is only available from ourselves and one other UK etailor. Plus the faster cards on the market are lesser brands in my oppinion.

I mean come on KFA, is actually Galaxy, not exactly a top quality brand and POV well they don't really have a presence in the UK. Gainward have been around for years and when it comes to overclocked cards they know what they are doing. :)

milking? there currently the best cards avaliable for the price and performance

Show me a better card at this price point? Nothing comes close!

MSI have something very special on the way soon 460 wise, yes its gonna cost more, but 1000MHz core is looking pretty damn easy, MSI is keen to have the best quality built 460's on the market along with some huge OC headroom. I shall post more details tomorrow. :D

Well, Radeon 5850 can be had at this price point and is a better card. I can't really think of any reason why you'd by this model as it's hardly going to overclock better than any reference card. Of course there's a cooler but when you can get a Gigabyte one (imo superior) for £160 delivered (or so it was), I couldn't think of any reason why you'd by this model (that isn't the fastest model on the market anyway).

On the other hand I remember Radeon 4850s with GDDR5 memory that were beasts - sold under Goes Like Hell sticker.

And yes, I know of the MSI Lightening that's going to be released... very soon I'd expect. It's overclocking capabilities are truly promising and I can see the enthusiasts buying this card at GeForce 470 price point.

Specs wrong... it has a 1600mhz shader as its on a 2:1 ratio with the core.

This is essentially a rebrand palit sonic... the pcb design is the same and the cooling solution is pretty much the same too... As Palit own gainward its kind of to be expected I guess. Nice to see the gainwards with a nice OC to book like they often had back in the day of the 6800Ultra and 78800GTX.
