O2 Simplicity £15 a month smartphone deal + £100 Cashback

As I said before... the guy on the phone was bs'ing you :p . Mine went like this:

NUMBER1= SIM Only 1 month simplicity for smartphones, number to keep.
NUMBER2= SIM Only deal from this thread with quidco cashback, number to lose.

Rang up. Guy puts in request to different department to port my number.

Ported over NUMBER1 onto NUMBER2 SIM. Took a few hours with the turning on and off thing as you said.

Done :) .

You just got a complete jerk on the phone who didn't know what he was talking about.

Yeah I knew they could do it tbh. He so insisted he was right and accused me of trying to beat the system. I should have got his name.

I got the 15/month simplicty for smartphones back in febuary, I missed the 'deadline' for the £100 cashback(anyone here remember the fiaso of it being reduced to £50 for the £10 & £15/month contract?).

I had to put in a missing transaction enquiary as it didn't track, this was validated on 28 may but I still haven't been paid(thought it was ment to be 2 months after validation). got this back from quidcare regarding the enquiry 'Response from Merchant. The merchant approved the enquiry but the commission value was amended', anyone know what that means? I applied for £50 not the £100 as I didn't want it being rejected.

The £15 per month simplicity tariff for smartphones is now back :)

300 mins
unlimited texts
500 mb + wifi access (e.g. the cloud)
12 month contract

+ £50 cashback via quidco.

Works out at a little over a tenner a month for the first year.

still waiting for my cashback from 16th april from 02, £160 it is, validated now though, hope it pays out tomorrow.

Hi,

Your 02 cashback query validated on 22 June and payment can take up to 120 days from that date to be sent to us from the retailer, although it is usually sooner than that. On receipt of payment your purchase will show a status of received and will be paid in the next payment run.

We have two payment runs each month - on the first working days following the 1st and 15th day of the month.

Working days are classed as Monday to Friday and exclude bank holidays (although we still answer customer queries 7 days a week). An example would be as follows:

* The 1st day of the month is a Saturday - the payment run would go on Monday the 3rd.
* The 15th day of the month is a Sunday and the Monday is a Bank holiday - the payment run would go on Tuesday 17th.

Please allow up to 5 days for a payment to reach your bank account and up to 14 days for a PayPal account

As always, please contact us again if you need more further help from us.

Kind regards,

Liam

Guys how does this actually work. I already have a contract with o2 and due for upgrade. I want to keep my iphone 3gs and get a simplicity contract out.

Do I have to go through quidco, order a 12 month smartphone contract and then get my PAC code from o2 and transfer the number across?

FINALLY validated :) 4th November (started enquiry 29th July!). £100 in my account. So this has cost me £6.67/month for 300mins (that I don't use all of), unlimited texts and 500gb data :D .
