Job Prospects...

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I'm going to see what my Uni timetable is like, then speak to Careers aswell. There's voluntary admin work going on in the advice centre near to where I live, so I might apply there, depending on my uni time table.

It is a difficult industry to get into, I wouldn't mind working for the police tbh.

Just be aware that working for the police roughly half your time will involve searching through paedophilic images and videos, for around 10k a year less than the equivalent job in the private sector.

In principal, I would say if you want a job as soon as you leave Uni, I would start sending letters and CVs out. Early bird catches the worm and all that. I would send letters rather than e-mails, they get through better.
This was my thought too, but apparently within Computer Forensics/ Computer Science it's actually frowned upon because its not as technical.

Thanks for the link! I know about the police and images, and I'm ok with that, and to be honest no so fussed about pay early on. I just want to get into the industry and build experience. And maybe as I get better and gain more knowledge I can go into the private sector.
