Finance haters gonna hate :-)

A friend bought a classic Mini and it's epic. More epic than any of the tripe 'city cars' that have been released in the last 5 years and much much much more epic than the new Mini.
It wont be epic (what ever that's meant to mean) in a year when there's rust bubbling through everywhere on he's in crashed and dies after having his face impaled by the steering column.

Don't get me wrong I like old cars but suggesting a mini as an alternative to a Hyundai i10 is retarded.

I find the mini much much more fun to drive than anything else I've driven (Smart FourTwo, Fiestas, Corsas, Puntos), but it's not epic. It's just good fun and terrifying come MOT time :P

lol id love to know what the OP wanted from this thread?

But yeah that much money on that car when there are so many better alternatives is just mind boggling!

Surely this is a windup thread designed to get some attention ?

gonna post here anyways made me laugh for my last 15 mins of work today.

Can we just clear something up here a minute guys, I never suggested that he should buy a Jag, I was simply using it as an example of what that kind of money 'can' buy you and why the Hyundai is over priced.

Although as things progressed an even better argument for it being very over priced became apparent, because it's costing more than a brand new one!

Quite how Ron Jeremy's nob got into this thread though is somewhat of a mystery but makes for hilarious reading :p

I can understand why someone would buy an i10.
I can understand why someone would have an autobox in a car.
I can understand why someone would finance a car.

But I can't understand why you would do all three together.

Ron Jeremy's nob gets everywhere!

Jesus, even if you completely ignore the fact you bought it on finance I have to ask the question...

Are you insane?

I must point out I haven't had the pleasure of driving one of these beasts, although looking at pictures of the interior it looks as equally as horrid as the Chevrolet Aveo I drove.

If it has even a tiny amount of the body roll that the Aveo has i'd be prepared to hold onto the steering wheel for dear life to stop yourself being thrown around the cabin. :D

Never mind the i10, look at this beauty

Hyundai do make a half decent car actually, http://www.hyundaicanada.com/Pages/showroom/Showroom.aspx?model=Genesis ...I had a poke around one of these in Canada, they are quite nice indeed, the exterior styling isn't great but considering the price and the warranty they offer over there it's nice. Not Jag nice but it's a lot cheaper to buy one of these. The new Sonata is pretty decent too, as is the Sante Fe.
