5750 Crossfire

Has any one got 5750s in crossfire iv seen some good benchmarks and thinking about gettin a some http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5750-review-crossfirex/13

I've recommended this setup as an alternative to a HD5850 or something that’s a bit faster then a GTX460 1gb to some people who live in the US but given UK pricing it doesn't make sense to get two in crossfire.

It's a shame because if you could get the 1gb models for £90/£95 a time these cards would make a great crossfire setup due to their great scaling.

Are you mad  you can get a single 460 GTX 1GB for similar sort of money, without the inevitable issues that comes with crossfire.

i know i was thinking about that but i need to stay with ati due the the sound chip on it. For example my pc has a 20" monitor by dvi and a 42" tv by hdmi so with ati i can watch a film from my pc on my tv with the sound for the film coming out of my tv and any thing els i do on my pc as im watching the film will use my sound card and come out of my pc speakers at the same time. With nvida iv been told i cant do that

Two 512MB cards for Crossfire was never advised, let alone getting two new 512MB cards for Crossfire...

For that price you'd be better off getting the GTX460 1GB like coupe69 said.

i was thinking about getting 2 512meg 5750s for £86.94 each

Hmm the lack of VRAM will hurt the performance and will defiantly bottleneck in Crossfire. The thing is 2 1gb models cost £100-£110 and for that money your better off getting a single HD5850 and if you need to stick with ATI why not get a single HD5830?

5830 any good ?

I'm not, at least not for a few months. I only find myself gaming for an hour or 2 per week now and I'd rather just have the money in my pocket.
