Hey, well I'm getting the upgrading bug and seens as my mobo has not been able to push my cpu over 3ghz now for the last 2 years for some reason I feel it's time to get me some new juice :P. However, I wonder if I should upgrade my 285GTX or not or keep it and just upgrade cpu/ram/mobo.

So my spec is in my signature and I run a 24" screen. Do you reckon I'll be needing to upgrade my gpu when I go I7 or should I hang on to it for a bit? I'm also hoping to run 2 gpus and keep this one for physx...if it ever takes off.

That is the plan, but I'm wondering if I actually need to upgrade. I've not followed pc tech in a long time now. I see we are now into the 400's? Though I'm suspecting the ATI cards are the better performers for the price? But could i use an ATI card and a nvida card for the physx?

GTX 285 is still a cracking card and will be fine with a i7

I was under the imperssion that the 285GTX could do all I wanted now at my resolution. But I am starting to lag in some games but I feel it's the cpu bottlenecking. Like when I turned on physx in mafia 2 it would get a bit choppy. Especialy around the house.
