Tesco game trade-ins go nationwide

man I shop there most days and I dodn even go and have a look at the electronical department ever. Think I'll be wondering down there on my next visit to get cereal.

Asdas is pretty good too. Also another thing that Tescos have better imo is they are more willing to replace something that's faulty without any hassle then say GAME or Argos.

I had a broken PS3 controller from Argos once, waited 1 month and a half for a replacement, they still wouldn't give me one, ended up having to threaten to take them to court under the SOGA. Then they send me a check and they even let me keep the broken controller lol :D.

This is just another big step towards developers making more content restricted to the original purchaser of the new game. I think the wave of games at Xmas and next year is going to see a lot of the practice towards trying to stop people buying second hand.

CEX are good for cash, their credit is ok until you look at home much they charge for 2nd hand games, Gamestation is ok on price, Game is awful, you might see a bargain but the full price and preowned games are laughable, HMV have some cheap games in.

Yup, there's an advert in this week Nuts for it. £30 credit for RDR or £25 cash. £22 credit for Sniper Ghost Warrier. £14 for MW2, £13 for Just Cause 2, £12 for Alan Wake, CoD World at War £10, L4D 2 £10, GTA4 £6, Gears of War 2 £5 and Fable 2 £5

There's also a 10% voucher for one of the high street stores that isn't purple on Cashback, and they also beat any trade in price by £1 so you could technically get £33.10 out of the High Street shop if you get them to match HMV and use the voucher.

Which do you think offers more value, £25 cash or £30 credit if i was interested in buying a few good blu-rays or a 360 game?

Edit: I only ask because i haven't been in hmv for years so i don't know how good they are in store compared to others or online, also does anyone know of a comparison site for selling games?

HMV are pretty good. I prefer them over game and usually buy all my games from there. They are better priced, their staff isn't annoying and overall a better experience then being greeted by the purple shirt man every 2 minutes.

Have to agree, much prefer buying in HMV if I'm getting games on the high street. Prices are normally better, and the staff are much less irritating.

Yup, Game is awful in Wigan, its just a mass of the same game on 3 shelves and loads of shelve space to preowned, HMV is just right, games dvd cds. HMV even had a 360 that you could play on, I remember the days of playing on a saturn in curries for hours.
