Steam Gamers Are Avid BitTorrent Users

oh noes people use bittorrent clients a perfectly legal peice of software that aparently can only be used to download pirated content.

i bet most wow players are avid bittorent users aswell seeing as the best way to get the patchs was to skip blizards own downloader and use a proper bitorrent client.

same with anyone who is in the ffxi beta a torrent client is better than the nuted client ffxi uses
 
I use bit torrent all the time. For example garrys mod addons, sometimes they are huge and bit torrent is prefered.

...not that I used bit torrent if I can avoid it.
 
I use bittorrent to get game mods as having to use fileshack etc when I dont have an account is the pits
 
Shows that people can prefer to buy things when they are sold properly.

Love uTorrent. But certainly not for copying games. Paranoid? Not a chance. Its perfectly normal to believe _every single_ game torrent .exe out there comes infested with Russian/Chinese/US RiA keylogging virus riddled machine*****ing malware.

thats what the publishers want you to think keep believing it.

i heard copying dvds funds terrorists, maybe the taliban make the dvd discs, lets hope they dont figure out how to make blurays

God those piracy messages on videos are annoying. Sometimes it makes you want to pirate it just so you can avoid the message.

No they're non identifiable.

Ie no one can ever tell if you personally have a certain piece of soft ware but valve have always published the results, of both hardware and software surveys.

they have them on thier site.

It did pop up[ in a nice big box saying would you like to enter steams software survey, exactly the same as the hardware survay :p

kind of annoys me when ppl assume that torret can only be used for illegeal things.

pretty much the same as ppl who think having fast connections is only useful for downloading illegeal things
