WTF! Woman Dumps Cat In Bin

I agree, I really don't understand how locking up a kitten for 15 hours is as bad as some other things happening to people here. Hell a lot people are locked up when they are innocent in jail for 24 hours, never mind the violence that goes from person to person...

You've completely missed the point.

Had the cat not been found, it would have starved to death covered in its own urine.

Hell yes, a lot of people get a night in the cells for being drunk and disorderly but they don’t get dumped in a bin. :p

I know the Daily Mail is rubbish, b ut this sinks to new lows surely?

Why do they feel they need to mention that? What possible relevence is it?

It's done to appeal to the idiots that buy the thing, they hate anyone that doesn't do things in the British traditional way. So having a divorce makes you the enemy and a possible anti British, tax wasting Muslim terrorist animal hating banker etc.

Have to say I lol'd at that as well. I bet there would be less of a reaction if the cat was a human and got locked in a room.

The thing is humans can be idiots and human relationships are complicated so when a person gets locked in a room etc there is usually a reason for it or atleast 2 sides of the story. (not the case for children which is why child abuse is taken so seriously.)

What annoys people is that the cat is totally neutral and is just minding its own business, she tricks it into letting her stroke it then makes sure no one is looking and chucks it in the bin. It is a totally malicious cruel and uncalled for act against an innocent animal.

I'd pick the cat. Even if it was our family cat.

But why? There's no consequence to pushing the stranger button. You love your cat, you value it for the joy and happiness it brings to your family, yet you'd choose to forsake in favour of a stranger you don't know, would never meet and whose death would have zero effect on you. It would be as if the button didn't do anything at all.

The human condition in general is an incredibly interesting one. This isn't a slight on absolutely anyone at all, I just love having these kinds of philosophical and ethical discussions :p

I'd feel guiltier pushing the human button, probably because I relate to humans more than I do to cats. Even though I don't know them, I'd think about their offspring, siblings, parents etc.

Maybe we have it all wrong, maybe she's a cat whisperer and the cat was actually high on some substance (let's call it TruBlood for namesake)?

And this is where the Family Guy style flashback appears in your minds!

I can't believe this woman thought it was a joke and that the cat would escape, what bash it's head on the lid somehow to open it?

Someone break into her bedroom and do this:

There is a consequence and there is an effect. I would know that I was directly responsible for someone elses death. I value human life above animal life, even if it is well loved family pet.

It is certainly a more interesting conversation than the current media circus surrounding this story. But then, that is like saying someone is nicer than Hitler. Technically true but nothing to brag about.
