To be fair Streeteh you're right, people only realise how bad that actually is when they re play through it now. Personally, I didn't notice that at the time since I was enjoying it far too much

That laugh out loud scene was noticably awful the first time I played and was wondering if I was going to hate a FF game with voices but it was still fantastic to have voice in a FF game. The only way was (hopefully) up.

FVII and FVIII were my favourites
Quite possibly because they were the first two I played. I never got in to IX at all and haven't played any of the newer ones.

For the record i put FF7 but i found it very hard to pick between 7 and 8.

7 is brilliant, it's a great game... but it really is overrated for what it offers.

8 is just edges it for me.

I've only ever played FF13, so I have no choice but to vote for it.

I think I got to chapter 9 which was when I got distracted by other games. I've not returned to it since then.

Hmm, I'm really not sure which one I'd vote for!
It's a toss up between 7 and 10 for me.

The scale of 7 when it was released was epic, there was nothing else like it. It was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played, as I'm sure is probably the case for most others in this country. The story was really well done and the twist was brilliant.

I also really liked 10, the tropical environment and theme to it I thought was great; coupled with the updated PS2 graphics and proper speech. It really brought the story to life so much more. I agree, the dialogue was shoddy in places, but they did a good job of it, and really there weren't too many previous games that had been so dialogue centric.

I've not been amazed by many of the other FF games, and the new one I've not bothered with. Something about the trailers I saw for it didn't really do it for me, also playing a FF game is a fair investment of time!

Really can't decide which I'd pick though.
I think 7 would have been even better had it been made during the PS2 time.

13 was all style and no substance , i know they tried to make it appeal to new players but i really thought it was a let down and ddnt please many FF fans me included

7 will win by a long shot even though i enjoyed 8 just as much never played 10 though .
