OK, the lights first. WRX lights are hideous, and at least those are better. If they're genuine Prodrive lights then they're fine - and certainly better than the factory jobs. I assume the previous owner wanted a UK300 but couldn't find one? The only lights that are better are the STI lights, but the two are not directly interchangeable as the STI lights have different plugs to connect to the wiring loom.

Personally I'm not a fan of the UK300 spoiler either, but it's a vast improvement on the standard low WRX spoiler.

Overall it's fine. Yes, it's ugly. It's a scoob: they're all ugly. Just have fin driving it. And I give it a year before you trade it for an STI.

If you still got yours in 1 year I may buy yours, but the best quote I got on your car was almost £3k - damn your 410 bhp :)
 
Ouch at almost a grand to insure though, goes to show how much NCB matters as I'm the same age but pay half :( It'll get better for you though!

See my plan was always to just get an STi, but circumstances changed just as I was about to buy so decided to side-grade, rather than upgrade, to a WRX, then STi it in a year or so :p

I did see a real bargain (in my eyes) the other day, if it had been 2 months ago I'd have borrowed the extra cash for it. Was an 06 STi Spec D, 58k on the clock up for £8400 at a local dealer!

Unsurprisingly it sold within about 2 or 3 days.
 
It all looks fine to me, them lights are definately an improvement on the factory ones as is the spoiler.
Am about to get a used prodrive ecu for mine which along with a decat centre pipe and a couple of other bits needed should see me to between 240-260bhp. this will cost me around £300 for the bits, gotta love the Impreza.
 
Got a friend with the same, except his hawkeyes are silver. Looks MUCH better! I'll see if i can find a photo :)
