458's Catching Fire

Not sure why the 458's go on fire yet, Ferrari are keeping that quiet, but the Gallardo's fires are caused by aged power steering pipes being too close to hot exhaust pipes, eventually failing and spraying power steerng oil over hot exhausts and igniting.
We've not had any of ours go on fire.....yet
 
Maybe they've got duff brake fluid reservoir caps or something that fails after x heat cycles and generates a brake fluid leak, then a nasty fire.

Didn't the F430's have a habit of bursting into flames as well?

Hope they get to the bottom of it.
 
I think the reason the black one crashed in Marlow was because the leprechaun (you can just see him behind the door in the picture) couldn't see over the dashboard!

I'm old enough to work at the Ferrari/Maserati, Bentley, Lamborghini and Porsche dealer in Edinburgh.

Kindof gives me a clue about these cars.

Making it sound like you have a fleet of cars you are waiting to go on fire makes you a true internet hero, please let us know when they do go on fire, and please pass on all this inside knowledge you get from Ferrari too, most interesting. It's fantastic to have someone 'on the inside'

They made me nice coffee, all Porks, Ferrari, Lambo's and Massers in one place. Spent couple of hours there sometime back
