Is this mobo any good for ocing?

The important bit is the 880g chipset as far as overclocking is concerned.

Ive no idea if it's good or not. However i do know that matx boards that overclock as well as full size boards are rare. Integrated graphics gets in the way, and cpu power supply tends to suffer. How optional is the board size?

Gigabyte and asus boards are approximately equal. Their customer service is not. Go with gigabyte.

The mobo is going into a full size Coolermaster Preatorian case, so I guess size isn't an issue :)

if i was you, i would get a motherboard with heatsinks on the vrms, as the Phenom II X4 955 Black Editions draw 125w without oc, so overclocking it is going to be putting a huge load on the vrms.

i suggest this board..

its abit more than the one you have in mind, but it will last you longer and will keep the cost down of your future upgrades.

as foor cooling i allways go for a scythe mugen 2 rev.b..

have a read of some reviews on coolers to get an idea of what your going to need.
