Guys, I know this is a network/connectivity issue, but that sub forum tends to see very few visitors, so please bear with me.

Can someone do me a favour and try to access www.btinternet.com, and also www.btyahoo.com/welcome2

Also if possible can you try to ping mail.btinternet.com please

For some weird reason I cannot get my BT emails today through Outlook, despite having changed nothing.

I can still access them online, but I cannot even ping mail.btinternet.com.

I was hoping someone else could try to confirm if it is a problem at my end or BT's.

Really weird thing is I can use BT mails actual IP address of 217.146.188.192 and it will download the mail without problem.

Nope, no other webistes at all. Hmmmm, so I wonder if Kaspersky is at its work then???

Can you access all of those sites, including pinging mail.btinternet.com?
 
Hmmm, now this really is weird, I have just rebooted my router and everything is working fine again.

How on earth did that happen???
 
Check your DNS server settings with your ISP - I was having on and off problems with websites, which were usually solved by a router reboot.

Phoned my ISP and they (eventually) figured I had the wrong DNS server address (wtf, they gave it to me all that time ago).

Thanks, will look into that, although I don't think BT give out DNS server details.
