Catalyst 10.8 is scheduled for 25th or 26th August

Having some texture issues on stalker SOC with the complete mod on, although I've only just installed it so these may NOT be linked to 10.8. Basically its flickering textures when looking at certain angles and its quite annoying, although minor. Will try some other titles when I get chance tomorrow.
 
still crashes on boarderlands on HD48XX xfire.....

i even took out what I suspected the casue was (comodo) now using kerpersky again
 
Epic fail, 10.8 drivers didn't even work for me! After removing CCC and uninstalling drivers from device manager, rebooted and then installed 10.8.. All seemed to be well till i rebooted and the 5870 wasn't even picked up. It reverted back to standard onboard vga :(.

Had to uninstall the lot again and put 10.5 back in. I don't think i'll be messing with drivers anymore.
 
Okay i got 10.8 to work now, had to do a fresh install again. Not sure why it didnt work the first time :S.

I have Starcraft 2 so will probs try AA on that. But i see most of 10.8 is about crossfire performance updates!
 
As usual, installed straight over previous drivers and all is fine; no crashes, no clock problems and the same idle temps of 31C as always with my 5870.

I feel almost left out ... :(
 
Working really good for me :), got me an extra 250 points in the Vantage GPU bench and WoW seems to be running abit smoother in Dala

I tried that, ended up worse off when trying to reinstall drivers lol.
 
Installed 10.8 and cant overclock my 5870,My games now just freeze on any overclock settings. I have a another annoying issue with scaling i have to have minimized ccc so it is effectively being started at start up then I have to open and minimize to get scaling to work it doesnt seem to recognize ccc being started or open if I dont do this.

going to go back to 10.5 as i have had problem with 10.7 as well where system start up seemed to hang

1920x1200, nothing overclocked either.

My crysis settings are everything on medium, motion blur turned off, AAx2

It's not as high FPS as I'd like, average is about 60 and minimum is around 45...

Depends heavily on the level though.

This has been around for months? Well, maybe one or two unaware forum users will benefit :)

To those who don't complain about higher idle clocks/temps - you don't overclock. What are you doing in these Forums anyway? :p

Something is causing the sleep state resume to act badly for me. I'm 95% sure it's the drivers, reinstalled them manually now not installing Catalyst Control Centre. Will see how it goes :( I don't want my s3 state to take as much time as booting up does...
