agree at 1680 512 not a problem but at 1920 it is, however imo its still worth selling your current card and getting a 460

MSI Afterburner can display that at a corner of your choice on screen during gaming. I use it to display GPU temp, GPU usage, Memory usage at top left corner of the screen and is not intrusive at all. That's what I though would be a prob, 512Mb. Is there a low footprint monitoring prog I can use to watch VRAM load whilst gaming on my GPU? I'm running XP for games.

No. any card can use MSI Afterburner. People mainly use it for overclocking their graphic card, but it is also useful for display details that I mentioned. Thanks, sounds top, is it manufacturer agnostic? I can't even remember which manufacturer mine is.
Nothing wrong with the 512 cards. As far as I know there isn't a great deal of performance difference at 1680x1050, however at very high resolutions it does make a difference.
