new xbox shaped pad coming out for PS3

The PS controller is what puts me off buying a PS3

I really don't like the PS3 controller, but that's a pretty lame reason for missing out on the best games of this generation

I expect you'll need to use a dongle for the wireless, which would be a deal breaker for me personally.

I use the Xbox 360 pad on the PC and the normal PS3 pads on the PS3. i'm happy to use either really. I'd probably have to say that the Xbox design is better but I've become quite accustomed to the PS3 design over time. It's not really something I'd bother getting but if it had a dongle then I wouldn't use it.

Why can't Sony release a version of their pad with the analogue stick and d-pad positions swapped?

because that's like admitting their product (in this case the controller) is of a poorer quality than the competition, this is something you generally don't seek to do in big business.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOT! I hope it's bigger as my main issue with the PS3 is the controller. So when this comes out, I will gladly buy a PS3

Just having a browse and there appears to be a very similar version (if not the version) available in the high street catalog shop, doesn't mention the brand name though.

similar but not the same, look at the design of the hand grips and the red circle round the joystick.

I shall be seeking out the nyko raven pad ,as the raven pad has better trigger buttons than the power a version.
but my main gripe about the sony pad is not the positioning of the sticks but rather how loose they are , they need to be tighter .

i love the ps3 console but dont like the controllers. get very sweaty while playing football and racing games

I will definately be buying this. I would love to buy more games for the PS3 because it is quieter, however I always buy for the 360 because of the pad.

Personal preference though.

i found the xbox one was far comfy to use than the ps3 so yeah good call

When I used to have my PS3 the controller was the one thing that put me off. The pads feel higher quality than the 360 controller but the stick layout just isn't as good for FPS's for me.
