looking for a decent monitor to be used for graphics editing, movies and a little gaming. So looking at the dell but so many people have issues with these that im worried of getting into a cycle of hassle of having to argue for a return. The 27 inch seems a decent choice too but people talk about how small the fonts become at the higher resolution and that would be an issue for me with web pages being designed in dream weaver. Looked at the HP ZR24w but they say the blacks are poor. Must be at least a 1920 x 1200. Any other options?

i saw some recent posts on the dell forums still mentioning it. I am tempted to take a chance but since they claim even when you have the problem its within spec is it really worth tasking a chance. The 24 inch would suit me better.

I'm in exactly the same dilemma!!

I was in a specialist shop today (not the purple shirt one!) and it was suggested that as a viable alternative to either the U2410 or U2711 I consider the BenQ or LG LED screens. I must admit, Win 7 looked nice on the Ben-Q but any good...???!!

Where is the U2711 on special offer....

Mmmmmmmmmmm

I have the 24, very pleased with it - torn between getting a 30, a 27, or another 24...

If you do any gaming, you'll probably want to limit yourself to 24 for framerate reasons.

Iv owned a LG led screen and the Dell is just in another level. I would love a U2711 but it was just too much cash at the time so other than the size I cannot fault the 24".

Is the ghosting really that noticable when playing fast paced games with the 24 (FPS, Racing)?
