Where can I buy safety trainers?

Hope someone can help me out, need to buy some safety trainers for work. By safety I basically mean with toe protectors.

Obviously I can buy them online but this doesn't allow me to try them first, shoe sizes for safety shoes/boots/trainers are always off by a size, either smaller or larger.

I'm looking for a "real" shop where I can go and buy some. I want trainers for two reasons. One...i've been wearing safety boots at work for the last 2 years and lately they're starting cause me a lot of pain, i've never got on well with boots and would prefer trainers. Secondly...if they're trainers I can wear them for driving as well, at the moment I have to change my shoes when I arrive at and leave work. I can't drive in safety boots/shoes, they're a little too wide for the pedals in my little corsa.

I know Deichman have some but they're pretty ugly, want something half decent looking as well.

Thanks for any suggestions...don't mind travelling a little for them but not outside of the east/west midlands.
 
also most builder yards eg. jewsons, travis perkins, etc... always have some in the sales office
 
Surely B&Q or Wickes sell what you're after? My cousin just got some safety trainers from Wickes, they look reasonable too. The make was Dickies i think.

Or i just noticed your location and you could try Astleys. They're just off the A45 by Sainsburys and the casino. They'd be your best bet.
 
My local Brantano had some last time I was in (over a year ago though). Can't remember the brand, but they seemed to be solid and looked quite good with the steel toe protector. I have a pic on my phone of them, but no USB cable at work. Give this thread a bump later on tonight if you want it or email in trust.
 
Have a look if you have a Parkers (http://www.parker-direct.com) near you; we buy some safety stuff off them for work. They have branches across the country and have a range of safety boots, shoes, etc. I'm pretty sure that includes safety trainers.
