Hi all,

I Currently have 2 sticks of kingston hyperX KHX64000D2LL/1gn stock 2.0v.
I have purcashed 2 sticks of Ocz ocz2p800r22gk, which says stock 1.8v.

When I put the OCZ into my system, my mobo wont Post, and I get the mem error beep code.

I have removed the kingston ram and the system boots up fine with the ocz, Therefore my question is are these compatible?

is the volatage or latencies causing the problem?

is there a way i can reduce the kingston vcore so it ran with the ocZ?

I forgot to add my spes

Asus P5KPL EPU
Q6600
X1950 PRO

Thank-you in advance

P.S. If these are not compatible and i will sell the OCZ as it seems faster, is this correct? as I always thought OCZ was superior.

OCZ's website says the ram's stock is 1.9-2.1v. Just set it to the lowest it is stable, either 1.9 or 2.0. The motherboard is probably setting the voltage too low for all the sticks.
Also, clear any overclock you have. Make sure you set the latencies to match the latencies of the slowest module.

Ive chnaged the vcore of memory to 2.0v and ot still wont post, I still get beeping errors, I was wondering how is it that the mobo is setting the vcore too low, if im able to boot with just ocz ram and the stock vcore of 1.85v?

Go upto 2,1V , I had problems where the OCZ ram wouldn't boot up unless set to something quite high

define not boot up, like not even POST? because i have similar issue with two of my reaper modules, they won't work period. PC turns on, just never goes anywhere, only with the 'broken' two modules. could you access your BIOS when you had that problem or not? since i can't was just wondering if theres any hope for my modules! :)

NO it didnt get to post, the abit ip35 pro said memory error :(

I had to flash the bios of the motherboard and then use a different ram to set it 2,1v and then swap it around.
