Im selling my desktop and was wondering whats best choice for gaming laptop for around £1300 - £1400 in you guys opinion? I want it be able replace my desktop basically.. gonna keap my mouse n keyboard and hopefully will be able use it for gaming and also be able use it when out and about.. so i thought the Sony vaio F11 i7? Can customize how you want it on there sites and basically get i7 740QM 1.73 - 2.93GHz processor, 500GB 7200RPM hard drive, 8GB of 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM, Blue ray player, 16.4" display with a crap webcam built in lol, GT 330M 1GB GDDR3 graphics card, and a HDMI output all for £1,334.01 only problem being that takes 3-4 weeks for them to put it together =/

anyone have any better suggestions?

You'll be able to get a lot better than that for that sort of money. I'd be looking for a 5870M at the least, partnered with a good i7 or maybe i5.

For that sort of money, and intent, you're best looking at Alienware, MSI and Clevo resellers (reviews usually as Sager, as they're the largest reseller in the states)

Can someone send me Trust about where you can actually get Clevo based laptops/barebones in the UK? 'Cause I'm stumped...

better?

Unless you need nvidia, atis laptop cards are much much more potent for the cash right now. The 5870m isn't much slower than the 480m but costs several hundred dollars less.

The Asus is much more the sort of thing you should be looking for. Alienware are expensive quite often.
