As the title says, TFU are at I-40 and we've had the BBC filming us for the past 2 days and their coming back 2morrow to film us some more!

They are doing the show on "Is computer gaming addictive". They say the i-series is going to be the casual/social side of it so hopefully they wont show us to be proper addics haha.

They've interviewed us and have literally been filming for ages, he has said tho that we 100% be a big part of the show!

So all you guys keep an eye out bbc1 9pm 15th November 10... Wehey!

Personally I wouldn't let the Panorama crew any where near anything I was doing. They are nothing but a bunch Daily Fail kowtowing scare mongers. Their standard of reportage is diabolical, don't let them fool you into thinking they'll put you in any kind of good light, they'll cut it to make you all look like a bunch of tools.

They've probably filmed you for "hours" but I bet they only use 10 - 15 seconds of actual footage ;)

i was once interviewed by a big paper while walking round notts :p i spoke to them and they asked basic stuff about how bad is nottingham and so so .

gets the paper the next day and lol not one word i said was in there just some magic theyd conjured up :( best thing is when i went in to get paper cause my pic was next to column. people were looking at me with devil eyes for what id "supposedly said" about there beloved notts.

I look forward to the posts that follow here filled with rage at what ended up on TV compared to what you expected :p

You're going to get painted as the geeks who are so sad they travel 200 miles just to play a computer game all weekend, look how addicted they are, this is too far, etc. etc..
 
I heard the Bodyshock series about the people with 3 heads or weird stuff growing on them often say they're from Panorama to put people at ease and make them not think it's going to be an exploitative doculol.

i agree, i dont reckon much to them either.

but am glad the OP enjoyed having them around for a few days :D
 
I would not trust them either tbh...

I would make a big post on your forums a few days leading up to it, saying that the report is due and "I hope they don't make us out to be **** or make a bad portrayal of gamers" or your site is going to get spammed to hell by haters that watch it and have nothing better to do than forum rage.

Think about it.... how can they come to an i-series and call 3000 people addicted gamers?

At the end of the day the fact we're all meeting face to face makes us look the more sociable of gamer.... as opposed to the true addics who spend 15 hours a day in their bedroom!
 
Addiction has no correlation with sociality, just look at alcoholism.

I hope they don't make you look bad, but this is Panorama, and they film what they want to cut it into a cutting edge shock story. I would have been wary.

I really couldn't care how they portray me tbh, i just cant see how they can blatently call every1 at i-series a sad pathetic geek who is wasting their life away by playing games? Every1 here is laughing and have a good time, there has been no rages filmed, about 99.99% of the footage is us abusing each other and having a laugh.
