Thats odd, if it's a 2004 it should be a facelift and I thought all facelift ghias had the Sony stereos..... Is yours a facelift?

Yes, the SCI is the facelift new model, but it looks like the 6000CD was standard and sony unit was a free option from july 04, my car was registered Jan 04 but not 100% sure on this.
