Hell and Morning all, already posted something similar in the Show us your car thread, as I didn't think this granted a thread of its own but it got disgarded.

I'm looking at a Coupe SIII 2.0 Auto, in black / red leather, 35K on a 56 plate, 1 year Warrenty for £7,500, previously a Mobility car.

Does it seem reasonable?

What do you want one of those for? Its a sporty corn beef tin.

Is there anything else you fancy for similar money?

I like the looks of the car and more importantly it's nice to sit in, compared to my current car a 2000 Mx-5 and previous 1995 Corsa SRi, it's a dam site better.

Also the Coupe SIII is group 10 insurance and tiptronic.

What else is out there in the sub group 11 with tip.

Not after speed, if it does a tonne I'm happy.

Jono8 - Thats the SE version or mk2 if you like and ugly, the SIII aka mk3 has uprated lights and bumpers.

heres the SIII - http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif.../radius/1500/postcode/de75es/page/1?logcode=p

Ah i see, yes. I would still suggest a Celica over one of these. I'm sure you could pick up a very nice facelift example for £7500. The regular vvti is only insurance group 13 aswell so it's not so bad to insure. Does it have to be automatic?

There must be something else for that money, does it have to have 2 doors?

Jono8 - I looked at the Celica but the interior felt dated with th orangey red dials and big wheel.

DiamondMark - No it doesn't have to have 2 doors.

Tiptronic box is a must for me, just sitting in traffic mashing my clutch peddle is just boring, Yes I realise a manual is better overall but this is preference, I originally had my heart set on a Mitsubishi FTO GPX Tipronic but with their age put me off.

Modern Auto/Tip Coupe's are hard to come about.

The coupes look a lot better than the celica.
If you are happy that even the v6 is under powered for what it is, the coupe is a nice car.
Other cars i would purchase over it, but do appreciate that it's a nice looking car :)

X type Jag, you will get a lovely one for that money.

May be wrong but I don't think he's got his free bus pass yet, just a pimped up Mondeo.

Driven a Hyundai Coupe and I liked it, but as other people said I'm not to sure on the auto, but its personal preference I suppose!

That was just my spend 7.5k on a decent modern auto suggestion, once he said it didnt have to have 2 doors :)

I would disagree. Anyway the Celica is irrelevant now seen as he definitely wants an automatic.
