The achievements for legendary are solo only now. It's good that they are difficult to get now anyway
Is there not one for both? Completing it on all difficulties (stackable I presume) and then one for Legendary Solo?

You're right, there is one for doing it on Legendary and one for doing it solo on Legendary.

go look at the new video posted on bungie.net its called rise of a spartan, got me almost crying at how much epicness H:R will be 
Go through on heroic first. That way the game will have better flow. Plus it doesnt seem as hard on ledge when you know how far it is to the next check point etc..
Heroic is dull, Legendary is about the only way to get a challenging game without skulls.

So, looks like most places have stopped taking legendary pre orders? I've got 2 coming from different retailers, hoping to sell the spare one for enough to make the first one free

Hard to make out, but consisted of halo 2 shirt, halo 2 drink (wtf?) a halo 2 bag, a big master chief standee, some weird glowy cube xbox things and a poster. Also a master chief figure. And ofcourse the LE of the game.
