I just installed one of these on my 480. But I'm pretty sure I've just ****ed it up completely.
The thermal pads are apparently in 1mm size and 1.5mm size. But they were all the same size. There was NO difference in the thickness of any of the thermal pads. So I just installed them in all the relevant places. I'm seriously peed off that they don't precut thermal pads, lazy nobs.
Now it's occurred to me that the mosfets have to be covered with the 1.5mm thermal pads so they can make contact with the waterblock.
I'm sure my card will fry when I power it up, but I am 100% sure that I didn't use any 1.5mm pads. I might have lost them
and the reason I think this is because EK claim that there are more than enough thermal pads to use on the card, yet I ended up using all the pads, with almost nothing left over.
FFS OcUK, why did you make it sound easy to install a waterblock
I think I might kill someone, I can't even be bothered to continue building it at the moment
