You do not need 700w for a xfire 5870. Go and look at reviews with full system under load graphs.
Google '5870 crossfire power draw" and check all the reviews.
Here is the first one I just found to help you get started:

The OP requires help and you spurting out crap isn't helping.
A system with a heavily clocked cpu, a hard drive or two and 2 5870's will need no more than 600w.
The PSU that mattjd spec'ed is good and allows for future upgrades.
As I said, the PSU Mattjd specced only has one pair of pci-e cables, you need two pairs for a Xfire setup; hence my ammended suggestion of an Antec TruePower; because you were throwing your toys out the pram about me suggesting the Sapphire.
I posted a quote from a review stating a 700W+ PSU is needed to run Xfire 5870s due to the current it needs to pull. If you can't be arsed to read the review I posted, I don't see why I should read yours.
Anyway now the OP has dropped to a 5850, the 650W Truepower should be adequate... Although I'm sure mglover will be over shortly to tell you that you can now run the whole setup by just pushing all the power connectors into a potato.

ETA: Just to make this post beneficial to the OP. Your [OP's] AMD build was the best so far (Post #12); 5870, Xfire supporting mobo, CM 690, enough power for two 5870s and an H50 for watery goodness. Pretty sure you could knock some money off there too, 955 instead of a 965, saves £10; Antec 750 instead of Corsair, saves £20; drop to the non-turbo 5870, saves £15. That's down to about £1030. Then maybe, buy an air cooler instead of water for now, if you really wanted it under £1k.
