Half way through lowering the car ;)

When can you drive a car fast enough to need a good setup on a country lane anyway?

Every day round here but you don't need to be driving 110% to enjoy a decent compliant suspension setup. And you get the bonus of not having a horrible bottoming out crashy ride.

edit: PMSL at the Leon

That just looks like the suspension failed really :/

lol thats after hauling it off the ramp after fitting nearly a grands worth of coilovers and bushes ;)

as said above it was raised 35mm approx when the geo was done handles like its on rails with the slight raise

Captain WTF is posting!

Compliance is what you need for B road hooning.

How about to answer your question... Everyday unlike a 20 minute track session twice a year most 'track modded' cars hope to do.

Indeed, but the ahh..'less mature' drivers seem to favour fashion fads over silly little practical matters like safe and predictable handling, or being able to get over rutted/pot holed roads without destroying your car. Looks are everything, shallowness is king, practicalities can take a hike.

I have to laugh when I see cars practically running on the bump stops with the whole car bouncing over every tiny imperfection in the surface, and the driver taking the car to it's limits - at 10mph less than the rest of the traffic.

Who said B roads?

Anyway, just how hard and low do you need to go before you encounter this problem with compliance? I've never experienced it, and have driven some stiff and low cars.

Not that hard and not that low - one of the reasons the Z4 is often criticised is that the harsh combination of the suspension and tyres is such that its a bit of a nightmare over a decent B road because it hasnt got much compliance..
