Ok thanx.
But I'm having a hard time finding those things! They are out of stock in all of the shops(well apart from the really expensive BP ones)
Thats the only thing stopping me from buying. May have to turn to barbs
So IF i go the "barb way" 1/2 ID barbs with 7/16 tubing will work right? also I will have to use some kind of hose clips but not sure on what, any ideas?
This is really unlike me - asking questions before doing the ground work - but forgive me.
Yes they fit fine, theres about 1.5mm clearance between the compressions. The ones i used are £10.30 for a 4 pack look for "TFC 1234 4x Blister pack of 1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Compression Fittings - 1/4" BSPP High Flow"
If you go with barbs most go with what you have said, I'd definately use a clip/clamp with barbs even if you are using 7/16id hose over 1/2 barb, ther are some nice ones about like the koolance clamps.
The cost of the barbs and the clamps was so close to that of the compressions i ditched the barbs. Glad i did the compressions are great, really easy to use and very well made.

I did notice your fittings when I went through your build log, found it on another site, but they are on pre order and when I contacted them said cant be sure when they will arrive.
Thats where i got mine, they also have the 45 degree rotaries which are very handy with big compressions. I had to use a 2 on the res and 2 on the graphics block because of clearance. I also used them on the cpu although i didn't need to because they really help with routing the tubing.
