BMW guys in here!

Hey all!

Now before you get excited, no I haven't, nor do I intend to buy a BMW any time soon

However, my work colleague has bought an Auto (I know

) 2003 530i with 18" Parallel alloys.

He wants to change a few things, and where else to go but to the BMW expert forum of OCUK !

Firstly, he has angel eyes, but I think they're just the normal yellow ones. He would like them to be brighter, LED style? Is that possible - what's involved?

What options are there in regards to backboxes? He would like something with a "tiny bit of music" and preferably with twin chrome pipes, rather than the current dull looking tail pipe.

And finally he would like some nice 19" wheels. Preferably BMWs own or very good replicas.

So what would you recommend for the above?

He already has the best wheel style BMW ever did for the e39. I have never found an acceptable none chav answer to the back box question short of an Eisenmann system and these are big money.

He will never get angel eyes as bright as the current range without it looking weird.

Sounds like he has already got a near perfect example style wise. Don't let him ruin it.

I did have similar thoughts, Fox. But I agree with him about the backbox. The tip looks terrible! Is there really nothing viable apart from maybe being more of a chav and welding on a different exhaust tip to look better?

Angel eyes don't need to be stupid bright. But so long as they're brighter he says.

I would just leave the car alone, whats wrong with the exhaust tip on it?

The one on a 530i is a bit like a drain pipe. The chrome twin pipes on the newer models look much classier.

He doesn't like it. Therefore would like to know the options available to him.

I would be suprised if BMW didn't do a set of chrome exhaust pipe trims. I know they did for the Z4.

For a replacement exhaust, Torqueflow are popular with the 8 series guys.

Definetly keep him away from 19"s though

They dont.

I really sympathise with him because the Sport exhuast on the E39 is ridiculous. It's like something off a Subaru.

Shame, maybe some from another model will fit. Just try and match the diameters up.
