Idiots who leave messages on windscreens

Hi all,

My brother is away for the week so I have sole access to our two parking spots out front. I decided to park my car across both because it stops other people trying to steal one of our spots (hapenned a few times) and also because "I damn well can!".

Some moron has put a message on my windscreen today saying "good parking". well of course it is, I parked the way I did on purpose. Hate those people who stick their noses into other people's business where it's not wanted. As far as I am concerned as the parking spots are both reserved for this address we can park on them however we choose to.

Am I wrong to think like this? I've parked in the same way again today so hope they appreciate it.

No insults!

Depending on the sort of people you're dealing with you may find certain "accidents" happen to your car as things escalate.

Do you pay for the spots either to the council or to the landowner or is it just a turf war thing? In other words to you have a contract that says they're yours? If you do I suspect there's something in it about parking responsibly

In what way are they your parking spaces? Unless if they are actually yours, I don't see any reason to deliberately take both... If before, people have left cars in one of the spaces for longer periods of time, I guess that makes more sense, but most people move their car most days

I think you're over reacting and forget that other people actually do park this badly, hence his assumption. Deal with it.

I don't know to be fair, all I know is that the parking spots are clearly labelled with our address, and obviously we don't go parking in other peoples also clearly labelled parking spaces.

House is owned by my brother I just rent here.

The spots are yours, use them as you wish. HOWEVER most people in the world won't know that and will think you're a proper ****. You're right, and in some ways they're right, too.

People park like melons all the time outside my house yet I've never once thought of leaving a note. Sounds like a bit of a busy body if you ask me.

Steal a spot ? Op sounds about 12 yet drives ?

You may say that but people really do just park up in our spots for no good reason. They're labelled with our address and come with the house.

Would you like to come home to some fool parked up in one of your parking spots, be it drive way or labelled parking spot elsewhere?

As i've said the parking spots are allocated to us so I don't see the harm in parking across them diagonally if I wanted to!
