What is it with mothers/fathers taking their kids shopping at 10pm on a Tuesday night, went to Asda then Tesco looking for a game and both stores had mums shouting at their kids waiting for a car/taxi, disgusting to drag your kids out at that time of night for shopping.

24 hour supermarkets throw up some unsavory people, also the Asda in Wigan had 2 dogs sat in the lobby area, it consists of 2 benches and one of those change machines and the dogs were still sat on the floor after I left, 15 mins I spent in the store, they were still on the floor one was asleep.

People can do what they want.

10pm is hardly that late. As far as I know, school hasn't started either.

Well I sometimes take mine at 9pm on a friday night if I finish work late.

We have this routine where we go to the supermarket on a friday evening preferably 6 oclock but if I finish work late and say where not going I'm tired my kids go crazy !

So out for a quiet life I guess.

Funny this thread came up tonight. Was just at Tescos 30 minutes ago and noticed the same thing. There was 2 or 3 couples there with kids age 8 and below running around the shops. And this is a Tesco in a small town :/

How old were the kids in question? Maybe parents needed something essential and were afraid to leave young kids at home?

***** dogs hanging out at the 24 hour Supermarket...The Horror of it!...Outrageous!....:p

Maybe they had no choice and couldn’t leave the kids at home alone. How old did you think they were?

haha yeah I almost forgot, upstairs in Tesco they have the entertainment section and I looked at the games they had about 15 in total wtf and they had toy story on blu ray playing and 2 kids sat on the floor watching it with a trolley next to them, they looked about 4 to 6, I was like WTF its 9:30PM and school starts tomorrow

tbh if school starts tomorrow or not, you should not be putting kids through it, keeping them up late in the dark in an environment like a supermarket with all the stimulation, either send the one parent or go tomorrow.

Looked 4+ so going shopping at that time of night on a Tuesday is ok? No wonder society is so ****** up.

OMG WHAT DID PEOPLE DO WHEN SUPERMARKETS CLOSED AT 5 or 8 PM

I have to agree that good parenting involves putting your kids to bed at a reasonable time. Better than leaving them home alone but seems too common to be just that.

Happy to let adults do what they like, but when you have kids you aren't just responsible for yourself any more.

I used to have 10 hours sleep! Bed at 9 back in the day. But remember it is the school holidays at the moment. Sometimes I would stay up till 11. even 12 once when I first watched Terminator 2.

So we have come to the conclusion dog owners and parents do not have the right to go to the shop past a specific time.

From what I saw the dogs could have been chilling and the owner could have been at home :D

How do you know it wasn't an essential supply, or that there wasn't a reason that they had to go at that exact time?

That essential to drag your kids out shopping at that time of the night, really that essential?

No, just that they shouldn't have the right :p
