Could someone spec me a £550 PC?

xigmtek asgard case is a great entry level case.

This, and I assume Stulid was trying to keep as close to the £550 budget as possible, which isn't really possible with any of the 'advanced cooling' cases unless you gimp the spec in some other way.

Burty88, you been a member of this forum for less than a month . . i suggest you get with the program and realise this is not a game . . this is real money people are spending . . please don't quote some irrelevant one page Toms hardware page as "Justification" for a £27 Old-Hat chassis?

You wont last long with this attitude! :(

Hey Paws x :)

Hopefully you are able to make some critical hardware choices by yourself . . it seems we have a very "touchy" nOOby mafia here who cannot in any way take constructive criticism of their "speccing" :D

Get yourself a nice chassis + modular PSU if you can squeeze it in!

It's been more than a month actually. But tbh I wouldn't expect you to actually look it up. On a related note, I don't think I've seen a single source, web page or testimonial backing up anything you've said on this matter. It's really not hard to see past the stupid marketing buzz words and pointless circular logic.

If you can even find a 4 page forum thread with the title "The zOMG I got an Asgard now my computer is dead, and my wife has left me thread!!!!1111eleven!¬" I'm sure the majority of people will stop recommending Asgards.

You're still here after 7 years; I'm pretty sure I'll be fine.

Don't ask him to do that! He will probably make it himself and post 4 pages worth of posts arguing with himself.

Back on-topic, Stulid's build is perfect, if you really don't think you will upgrade the GPU from now on, get the lower watt modular power supply.

As for the case just pick one in the £25-40 price range which you like the look of.

"Titan Onyx" Intel Core i7 930 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz

Quad core i7 system at 4GHz with an option to stick a GTX 480 in there using the Asgard, Overclockers must think it's at least a reasonable enough case for cooling surely otherwise they'd all be overheating during the summer?

yep, ocuk dons/shop staff also go on about how they rigorously test their systems before they even release to market, they have to provide a warranty after all.

Guys it looks like a flimsy horrible & hot chassis . . . why on earth would anyone with £550 budget build a powerful modern computer using a £27 chassis! :D

At the end of the day it's Paws x computer . . if he wants it he gets it . . if not and he wants a modern robust chassis with great cooling potential (top exhaust fan bottom mounted PSU etc) that will last him across several builds I'm sure he will make the right choice!

Big wayne why dont you spec a pc with a better cooled case and a modular PSU.
If your build is better you win.
If your build is weaker than stulids, he wins.

If you says its not a competition, well it is :D

yeah
see who can build the best computer with a budget of £750 including everything.tower, monitor,os,peripherals except speakers
:D:D
