Fitting amp to my WRX

not sure if this helps at all, but the big blue wire kind of shows the route I took, not sure what planet I was on when I mentioned steering rack! I think that could have been the immobiliser wiring

ah that was half way through an inlet manifold swap, normally it was quite tidy

we reversed the manifold after this then promptly killed the engine with 2.0 of boost, will find the piccies of the next engine/bay that was even messier!!

2bar of boost? Was the engine built at this stage? If not.. ouch! I'd love to reverse my manifold.. but that would require having a front mount to begin with :D

yeah fully built at a cost that I don't even want to think about :p

reversed inlet was a gigantic ball ache, relocating what seemed like half the engine for what I considered to be a marginal waste of time, what did I know I was just paying for it :p

Well tried to fit the cable throught the hole on the bulk from my pic today with the help of Slackworth and we failed. Gunna try to do it via the wheel arch liner method after work. :)

At work we dont have any coat hangers surprusingly but I have attached 3 x 50cm cable ties to it and no idea where the cable is going either lol

sure its not heading up behind the dashboard or down below the carpet? I really cannot think where else it could be going!

The easiest way i find to fit a live wire is to feed it through to the engine bay from the inside of the car first. If the grommet is high up then just rip out the glove box.

So just how big a turbo could I fit?

;)

How stupid are you? GT35s have been done, and even bigger than that. Biggest power I know from a scoob is about 850bhp, although there may be ones with more than that. Lag must be horrific though.

You obviously fail at ICE. It's so simple! I've done it on all my Imprezas, both of my dads, and a couple of others!

Me, Gibbo and Slackworth had issues after work. We gave in, in the end.

I can easily get the cable into the driver footwell but due to it going across the back of the engine bay the cable is too short to reach the amp in the boot then.

Seriously?! Come on guys this is simple haha! Have you actually removed your glove box so you can see where the cable comes in yet? It can quite easily get curled up behind there, but I just normally reach up to grab it. But the first time before I knew where it came out I took the glove box out..

Yes gloves box out and used cable ties to keep the cable straight. The hole we are trying to feed the cable through goes into the air con unit. Not under or behind it but into the air con unit.
