If anyone finds it hard to find one, they have these in the japanese koi company in north herts(near henlow), seen them on my many trips to stock up my marine tank.

They are cool little things i must admit and quality name!

Basically they are juvenile salamander that don't mature, however by injection of hormones and some chemicals you can force them to mature into salamanders

Aye, freshwater. The bigger the tank the better, although as I have mentioned, a 2' tank minimum for a single axolotl.

A bit late for that. I'm still tempted on that DNA test for my son (I think it is the external gills).
