HP ZR24w or Dell U2410 or other ?

CRT monitors dieing and I need a replacement pretty soon. I hope it lasts long enough so see replys to this question.

I cant decide between the HP ZR24w and the Dell UltraSharp U2410. I have £300-£500 budget, my primary use is movies and a few emulation Retro gaming with MAME.

So which IPS monitor ?

I'm looking at exactly the same monitors right now, but I think the U2410 is worth the extra cash. Display port, HDMI etc. not to mention slightly better image quality.
The HP is still a great monitor in it's price range, but if you're willing to spend the extra to get the Dell, go for that. Really that's the only differentiation you can make between them.

My only question is: If I get it from OCUK, can I get the full 5 year extended warranty too?

how about the 23" dell? I ended up getting that over the zr24w

is that the U2311H and if so whats your view on it ?

The U2311H is 1920 x 1080.

I would like the extra vertical resolution, besides that it's a very good monitor.

Hi, sorry I haven't opened it yet

I've got no use or space for it atm. I didn't mind going from 1200 to 1080, or losing an inch, as there's still plenty to play with

Just gone for a second hand (4 month old) zr24w. I was toying with the u2311h but I'm glad I went with the HP. Very nice picture.
