What are your must have PS3/N games since release? (+find me a PS3/Bundle)

Good evening all,

I've been putting off buying a PS3 (mainly due to not being interested in most of the early releases, which is turn is due to never owning a PS1/PS2) but I've come up with a plan to get a big tv up on the wall (hiding all the cables in the cavity) so decided to get myself a PS3 and some delicious games to go with it.

What are you recommendations?

I've been looking at:

Wipeout HD
Demon Souls
God of War 3
Uncharted 2 (played the first one of my brothers PS3 a bit, worth going back?)

Would like to avoid games like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid 4 & Heavy Rain.
 
Might be worth adding God of War collection if you have not played them on PS2. inFamous was very good. Motorstorm Pacific Rift. Little Big Planet. Resistance 2. Killzone 2.
Can't think of too many other exclusive disc based games that your haven't mentioned, or ruled out.

Trying to avoid multi-port games and sticking to exclusives, also not naming rpg's as you don't seem to be too keen on them

Bad Company 2 (if you don't have it on pc)

Some other good games
LittleBigPlanet (although might be worth holding out for 2)
Ninja Gaiden Sigma
Resonance of Fate
Rachet and Clank <- i thoroughly enjoyed it but brother thought it was so so
Prototype
Singularity

Uncharted is definitely worth a play through, but rent it really as it doesn't have MP

Kill zone 2 is good and cheap now some but people dont ike it cause of the controls.

Infamous is awesome.

God of war collection and god of war 3 are a must as is uncharted 2. Properly the best games on the ps3

If you like sports games any of the ea sports games are good much better then their pc counter parts.

Mag, not everyones cup of tea but i liked it.

red dead if you dont have it on xbox.

There are plenty of demos on psn store thing so you can often try before you buy.

Got to ask but cant people do a search in these forums - this gets asked at least once a week. Not a go at you Frapple directly - you just have to wonder...

Metacritic is a good starting point...

I've just traded in my wii for a PS3 (not picking it up till Sept 17th with a 320gb and ps3 move pack)
I just believe GT5 is going to come out soon...I'm probably wrong though.

Gt5 is out Nov 3rd (or 5th) so it wont be long after your purchase.
 
Thanks guys, think I'll grab a couple of months of Lovefilm when I get a PS3.

I guess it's worth waiting a couple of weeks for the new Slim to get a bundle deal?

Resistance 1 & 2 - Played through the first with my brother. Wasn't good, wasn't bad, just point guns at things and press the trigger (will probably 3 if it has online co-op)

MAG - Loved the sound this but from what I've heard it's just small squad based proxy battles as opposed to the big 128vs128 that I was imagining. What's it like to play?

Killzone 2 - Did they fix the 'realistic input'

@ps3ud0 Kinda gone off reviews the past couple of years, things are only rated on most websites using the 7-10 scale. Even terrible games like Kane & Lynch 2 get 6-8, which equates to 2-3 in old money.

I picked Mag up the other day for £15, and have to say I'm really enjoying it :) You start of in 64 player battles and as you level up you can enter the 128 vs 128 battles which are just manic.

Only downside is the number of people using headsets, but tbh I hate talking online so I just tend to stick with my squad and heal/revive downed teamates.

We really should get a MAG session together - such a better game when you have good squad members...

Metal Gear Solid 4 - although you've discounted this you HEATHEN
Unchartererered 1
Uncharterererererd 2
God of War 3
God of War 1 and 2 HD remakes
Wipeout HD - PSN Download
Heavenly Sword - Will be a bargain to buy and its a nice fast paced and good to look at game

Though, Dragon Age Origins is up there as one of my favourite games this gen, albeit multiplatform.
