Fiesta ST > Grownup adult car, but which?

seems a bit nuts getting an ST etc if you dont drive it hard.

as for the diesel, at 15k a year, i think last time i calculated it the saving between a 1.8turbo golf vs diesel passat was £450 a year at 15k miles, that included the tax difference too
 
surely if you don't rag it around you are getting 36-40mpg?? A 1.6 focus will get roughly the same because you will have to push it more.
