Earlier today, I managed to break the handle off my toilet - I didn't hit it or anything, just flushed it rather vigorously. Anyway, now the only way to flush my toilet is to take the cover off and lift the lever up.

I have searched for about 45 mins for ways of repairing toilet handles, and looked for new handles, but the all seem to be rotating handles rather than my linear lever type handle.

Does anyone know where I can get a new handle of this type, and are they uncommon?

google this "side lever toilet handle"

Not taking the mick btw but the top link had a replacement hand for about 6 quid which i think will fit. But it will be a bit longer.

Hope that helps

Cheers, but it doesn't look like it would fit in my setup... I'll dismantle it to check, as the exact replacement is £27 without delivery.

Better Nate than Lever?
That was fun :)

I don't know the answer, but is your name Chris by any chance?
Nope :)

Doesnt that link have on the forum page have a link on the forum page to a replacement?
guess its expensive because its a odd/rare toilet handle design.
Yep. I think it's exactly the same. Because it's fairly pricey and the same thing will probably happen again another 6 years down the line, or possibly sooner, I'm wondering whether a different type might be better.
